PASTOR GERALD FELTUS
is a native of New Orleans, LA. He was led to Christ by his parents, Bishop James, Jr. and Supervisor Hazel Feltus, and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, when he was only 12 years old, during a revival service at the First Church of God in Christ United in New Orleans. Pastor Feltus holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Dallas. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Tulane University. He worked in the Defense, Intelligence, Aerospace, and Information Technology industries for over 40 years and retired in 2013 from Raytheon Company where he served as the Director of Financial Strategy & Analysis. Pastor Feltus is a family man. He has been married to his wonder wife, 1st Lady Janice Feltus, since July 1977. Pastor and 1st Lady Feltus are the proud parents of five very accomplished daughters: Stacey Muhammad; Kyemba Feltus; Gere’ Feltus, M.D.; Jamie Brown, J.D. (Christopher); and Whitney Kimble, M.D (Shawn). They are also blessed with nine grandchildren: six boys (Jayden, Cameron, Dylan, Landon, Brayden, John); and three girls (Kai, Ryleigh, Zoe).
Pastor Feltus is a Servant of the Lord and has a great love for the people of God. He has served in almost every area of ministry in the Church of God in Christ. He was called to the ministry in 1992. On February 15, 2011, he was selected as Pastor of the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ in Ft. Worth, TX. Pastor Feltus and 1st Lady Janice Feltus are thrilled and blessed to serve this great congregation of believers. The theme God gave Pastor Feltus for House of Prayer is “FAITH FORWARD”. Exodus 14:15 states: And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: Philippians 3:13-14 states: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote in I Corinthians 2:9 - But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
